Central Texas Hunting Lodge
Lodging is provided in our Central Texas Hunting Lodge which are Rustic Rock Houses built by early settlers in the 1890’s. This adds to the experience of an old-world trophy whitetail deer hunt. Morning Star Ranch provides historic rustic stone hunting lodges with accommodations for up to eight people.
Rock House # 1
- sleeps 6 in bunks

- has a Queen bed
- 2 couches
- bath with showers/sink
- a refrigerator
- fans and is also heated
Central Texas Airport Transportation
Fly in with airport pickup is available. Airport pickup is typically available from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) or Waco. Private or charter flights can land at either the Hamilton Texas airport about 15 miles South of the ranch or the Stephenville airport just 20 miles Northwest of the ranch. We have you taken care of as your guide will handle transportation to and from the airport directly to the hunting lodge and ranch.
Additional Activities
Aside from the deer hunting at the Morning Star Ranch, Hico is a great place to spend a day or afternoon. Historic Hico Texas offers the legend of Billy the Kid and historical town of unique shops including our very own Blue Star Trading Company.
