Central Texas Hunting Lodge

Lodging is provided in our Central Texas Hunting Lodges which consist of our newly built main hunting lodge and our rustic rock houses. Morning Star Ranch provides modern lodge style accommodations as well as historic rustic stone lodge style accommodations; based on your preference and availability.

Our new main hunting lodge offers just under 2,000 square feet of modern living space with three comfortable bedrooms, two spacious bathrooms, and an open kitchen, dining, and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with sleek white cabinetry, stainless appliances, and a large island, while the living and dining space features vaulted ceilings, a big screen TV, and a large table perfect for meals or games.

Large windows throughout the home fill each room with natural light and offer beautiful views, from the cozy bedrooms to the spa-like bathrooms. Outside, two inviting porches provide the perfect spots to relax and take in the surroundings. With Wi-Fi, television, and stylish furnishings, the house is fully appointed and decorated to ensure a wonderful stay.

Our rustic rock houses were built by early settlers in the 1890’s. This adds to the experience of an old-world trophy whitetail deer hunt. Morning Star Ranch provides historic rustic stone hunting lodges with accommodations for up to eight people. 

Fly in with airport pickup is available. Airport pickup is typically available from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) or Waco. Private or charter flights can land at either the Hamilton Texas airport about 15 miles South of the ranch or the Stephenville airport just 20 miles Northwest of the ranch. We have you taken care of as your guide will handle transportation to and from the airport directly to the hunting lodge and ranch.

Aside from the deer hunting at the Morning Star Ranch, Hico is a great place to spend a day or afternoon.
